Scarlett: 6 months

Scarlett is already half a year old!

I can't believe this little lady has already been our family for 6 months (on boxing day).

She started solids at 5 months, after trying to grab everything anyone else was eating since 4 months. She absolutely loves food, and has tried way more than her brother and sister ever did by this point. She has only ever refused eggs outright, even enjoying brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, and turnip. She refuses to eat a bottle if someone around her is eating real food.

Her sleeping hit a bit of a rocky patch for some reason-waking up every 3-4 hours, when she's always been a fantastic sleeper at night. Thankfully, she seems to be sorting herself out again. She puts herself to sleep, lots of the time within seconds of being put down, so that plus her solids I think have helped get her back on track. She loves listening to nature sounds when she's falling asleep.

She is an army crawler and can worm pretty fast across the floor. She also likes to plank, skydive (see pictures below), and swim.

You can measure how excited she is by how fast she is kicking her legs.

When she is really happy, she sticks her tongue out and breathes in and out really fast.

She barely makes strange, and gives her smiles to almost anyone.

She is pretty frugal with her giggles, but big sister seems to know most of the tricks to get them out of her.

She loves music and books.

She loves snuggling with fuzzy things.

She looks a lot like Mia when she smiles, but she does share resemblance with her big brother as well.

We love our alert, smiley, and bouncy girl!
