I don't like making long Facebook posts, so I thought I'd share challenge this as a blog post.
How’d you guys meet? At a YSA chili cookoff
First Date: we went to Montana's for dinner and then back to Gordon's place for a movie- it was Letters from Iwo Jima...not the most romantic of choices
How long together: 12 years in May, but just celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary last week
Kids: 4 (1 boy, 3 girls) and #5 due in 6 weeks
Age difference: Gordon is 3 years older
Who was interested first: Gordon- he noticed me when I gave closing prayer at church and liked my curly hair (you know back when I had time to do my hair)
Who is taller: not me haha
Who said I love you first: I definitely did-although I have no memory of it happening
Most Impatient: It depends... I am more patient with the kids, Gordon is more patient with everything else haha
Most sensitive: 100% me
Loudest: In public me, at home Gordon
Most Stubborn: if you've met our kids you know they get a healthy dose from both of us... there is an art we are perfecting of which battles we will let the other person win
Falls asleep first: nearly always Gordon, although pregnant me doesn't do too bad
Cooks better: Gordon has a few "specialties" he cooks (like homemade french fries), but I definitely win in the overall cooking category
Better morning person: me in general
Better driver: Gordon will lose his mind if I say me
Most competitive: I am. The only time Gordon is more competitive than me is playing computer/video games.
Funniest: We have totally different senses of humour, so my family would say me, and his family would say him.
Where do you eat out most as a couple? What's eating out? Haha Indian food or donairs are usually our go to (we order pizza or Mcds for the kids)
Who is more social? Neither of us are really social butterflies
Who spends the most money? I handle 95% of the everyday expenses and budgeting. Gordon spends the most when it comes to buying things for himself haha.
Who is the neat freak? Me by a landslide
Where was your first kiss? On the front step of the house I lived in with my roomies
Who initiated your first kiss? We both think it was the other person
Do you get flowers often? No because he knows I'd way rather have something practical or chocolate
How long did it take to get serious? After our first date we "friend zoned" each other, but actually became really good friends. We considered dating each other on and off for about 7 months, before I finally gave him an ultimatum of now or never. After we took the plunge it was a matter of weeks before we knew it was serious.
Plans date nights? What are date nights? We take turns or both plan.
Who picks where you go to dinner? We usually choose together, because it is a rare and momentous occasion.
Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong? Hahahaha we both suck at this
Who wears the pants in the relationship? He wears the pants, I'm the belt that holds them up.
Who cries more? Me, without question
Who has more tattoos? Zero for both
Who sings better? Gordon is naturally the better singer. I have had to work hard to not be tone deaf.
Hogs the remote? Gordon picks most of the things we watch
Did you go to the same school? Nope
Where is the furthest you two have traveled together? Israel (we went with his parents when I was pregnant with Isaac)
Who drives when you are together? Mostly Gordon, unless we're on a roadtrip then we split it. He complains I drive like a Grandma- I've just been burned by too many photo radars in this city to speed in town.
