6 months- moving and grooving!

Our little "meesty" (as grampy calls her), is 6 months already. It's hard for me to believe she is that old, since Isaac was such a big chunk at that age. She's so petite, but definitely has her share of those glorious thigh rolls. She is growing up waaaay too fast. Waaaaaaah!

I have no idea how much she weighs, but I do know that she's still wearing 0-3 month pants and even newborn pants as capris. 0-6 month shoes are finally starting to fit, although a little big, but I'm so in the habit of her being barefoot that she'll probably just stay that way until winter haha.

She goes down for naps and to bed on her own (finally!), and has even slept through the night a couple times this week. Like I'm talking 730-6am. Now if only I could quit going to bed at 11... She loves to sleep on her stomach and cuddle with her fuzzy blanket.

Mia just started solid foods a week and a half ago, and she took a while to warm up to them. She has a really long tongue and every time the spoon would go in her mouth she would stick her tongue (which she could probably touch her nose with...) and all the food would fall out with it. She also perfected the "sour lemon" face. It's only in the last few days that she's actually been successful at ingesting most of her food, rather than wearing it. She's had rice cereal, sweet potato, pears, plum, and bananas-by far the biggest success. Onto the adventures of peas and broccoli soon!

Mia has the most infectious smile. As I've blogged before, that's almost the first thing people comment on when they see her. They are blown away by how happy she is and how easily she gives away smiles. They light up her whole face and even include some adorable dimples.

Within the last month, squirmy wormy has figured out how to get on her hands and knees and move. She's progressed from her "swan dive" manoeuvre (where she would inch forward with her legs then fall down onto her chest with arms out-swan dive) to actually moving her arms and legs in some semblance of coordination, albeit for short distances. She certainly does get around though. Isaac was 7.5 months when he crawled, so I hope she doesn't keep insisting on showing him up. Otherwise she'll be walking at 8 months!

Still no teeth but she sure does love chewing and drooling.

She also loves baths, stories, songs, her big brother, her fuzzy blanket, motoring around, and talking (she is quite the chatterbox!).

We love our little princess Mia. She is our sunshine!
