She was supposed to be laid back...

Little Miss Mia-kins is now 7.5 months. She is both amazing and scaring the crap out of me with how monkey like she has become. She started crawling about a week into being 6 months and in the last month has pretty much mastered pulling herself up on any piece of furniture, and was even trying to climb up on the futon yesterday. She managed to get one knee up...

With the acrobatics comes a lot more bumps and bruises unfortunately. My house should really be covered in bubble wrap.

She definitely hasn't let her size hold her back. She's just a tiny girl, weighing 13lbs13oz and 25 inches (10th percentile across the board) at her 6 month shots. Isaac had just started crawling at this point, maybe his big head weighed him down?  I thought for sure she would be much more laid back and relaxed than her big brother. In fact, I was perfectly happy if she didn't crawl until 8+ months. Now I need eyes in the back of my head. For real.

 

One thing she hasn't beat her brother in is teeth. She's still toothless, but has been much grumpier than normal the last couple weeks, and has had a pretty bad diaper rash for the last two days, so maybe we'll see something soon.

Mia is loving solids. She wasn't a fan of rice cereal but loves oatmeal cereal, and any meat or veggies pureed- more than fruit oddly enough. She loves bread and gnawing on watermelon or cucumber.

 

 

She's outgrowing most of her long sleeves and pants in length (they're still 0-3 months), faster than width, so she's either stuck wearing flood pants that stay up or pants that are long enough, but fall off.  She has a knack for getting her legs out of any sleepers with snaps. Need to convert to zippers.

Mia charms everyone she meets with her infectious smile. It's so easy to get adorable pictures of her! People fall in love with her so quickly, especially other kids. Daddy will be keeping a close eye on her when she's a teenager.

She says "dada" (Gordon worked for 3 days to teach her that). She has him wrapped around her little finger.

Mia loves her big brother, especially playing cars with him. She frequently uses him as a climbing apparatus. I'm scared about the trouble these two are going to get into together.

She is finally sleeping in a crib and sharing a room with big brother. Hallelujah.

This was getting too small for her!
