Scarlett: 7 months

Our little Scarly is already past 7 months. Before I know it I'll be writing her 8 month update.

She is not even on the growth chart for weight at 12lbs10z. She eats lots. Promise.

She is in the 10th percentile for height.

She loves to eat solids. She will eat pretty much everything, and is really good at picking up bits of food from her tray. She loooves water and drinking out of her sippy cup.

She sprouted two shiny new teeth last week. Either my memory of teething babies has faded, or she actually was my worst teether so far.

She loves a crowd, and people in general. Whenever we skype she just about bursts out of her skin and making hooting noises not unlike a chimpanzee-I imagine.

Scarlett has been army crawling around for about a month now, and is especially quick on our slippery floors, particularly if she is in fleecy pajamas. She can get up on all fours and will rock back and forth in her iguana like attempt to move, but she reverts to her speedy penguin slide if she is really trying to go somewhere.

She has all but ditched her soother. She started neglecting the once adored object a few months ago, and it now sits forgotten most nights in her bed.

She seemed to simultaneously develop a fear of both her swing and the bathtub. They used to be saving graces in soothing and sleep inducing, and they seemed turned into objects of terror almost overnight. I actually have no clue what happened. Now she just cuddles with me in the shower which she loves, and the swing has been dismantled in our basement.

She is a mama's girl through and through. Whenever she sees me her face lights up, and does a happy dance. I can scarcely walk away from this girl without her flipping her lid. She has spent more time in the carrier at home than any other baby. And she has given me very nice biceps.

She is still waking up twice a night which is tiring sometimes, but we're just rolling with it.

She is adored (most of the time) by her big brother and big sister. Isaac frequently says "Thank you for my sweet Scarly baby" in his prayers, and Mia is always trying to soothe her ("don't cry! don't cry!") and feed her bits of her food.

We love our baby girl and her bright sweet personality!
